About the Workplace

The Social Administration in Öckerö Municipality is an engaged and forward-looking administration. We believe in continuous development and innovation to meet the challenges present in our municipality. Our mission is to create a sustainable and efficient operation that meets the needs of society and individuals with a focus on preventive work.

The Support and Treatment Unit is part of the Social Administration's area of responsibility for Authority and Social Welfare. The unit is responsible for the municipality's open care initiatives such as advice, support, and treatment, family center, family counseling, and drug and crime prevention work. The Support and Treatment Unit receives assignments for assistance from the social office and offers preventive support to residents who contact us directly.

Job Responsibilities

The social services are undergoing a comprehensive transformation due to our new Social Services Act. We are now expanding with a therapist who wants to be part of Öckerö Municipality's development journey towards a social service with increased accessibility and evidence-based methods of high quality.

The position is located within the Resource and Treatment Team, where we receive assignments for assistance from the social office as well as applications for support directly from individuals. We offer support to families with children and youth, support for relatives, support in cases of violence in close relationships, and for risk use, harmful use, and addiction. The team also provides parental support within the municipality's family center, support for relatives, and group activities.

We are looking for someone who primarily wants to work with children and families, but since we are a small municipality, we also want you to find it exciting to work with a broad target group with varying support needs. You need to appreciate a variety in the work, ranging from therapeutic conversations at the individual level to broad collaboration with several other actors.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who;

• Is a social worker or has another higher education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Has experience in support and treatment work.
• Has further education in conversation treatment such as step 1 or equivalent.

We are looking for someone who wants to develop the future of social services and who also wants to grow through new experiences and competency-enhancing initiatives. If you have experience working with schools on issues related to problematic school absenteeism, this is considered meritorious. We also wish that you have good knowledge of the execution and authority exercise of social services.

We are looking for someone who has a good ability to collaborate with both internal and external parties and demonstrates confidence in your role as a therapist. You understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole.

A driver's license (B) is required.

Since you will be working with children and youth, a police record extract will be requested from the person offered employment.
